Let’s Change Our World Together…

I started Permaculture Voices from scratch in 2013.

I started it with nothing.

No follower, no sponsors, limited funds.

But I had a goal.

A goal to go out and change the world in a way that resonated with me.

Along the way others who shared this same vision came along and have shown their support both emotionally and financially.

Together we have made big changes in the world and more importantly (at least to me) we have all made big changes in our own lives.

Thousands have attended the live Permaculture Voices conferences and tens of thousands of listeners tune to each of the podcasts.

The impact is being felt and we are making a difference.

I am now three years into Permaculture Voices and I am at a bit of a transition point.

I want to keep creating more content, but honestly it’s tough.

Working a full time job, raising a family, and running Permaculture Voices is hard.

Initially the plan was to have the conference to support all of the other activities run by Permaculture Voices.  That way the content could reach more people versus the limited numbers who could attend an in person event.  But at this point, the conference only supports the conference  There isn’t any surplus there, so the podcast is self funded.  And as a creator I have realized it isn’t sustainable in the long run to do that.

Therefor, I am asking for your support as a member of the Permaculture Voices community.

I am asking for a modest pledge to support the creation of content which you value.

Content which has helped you in the past and content which can help you into the future.

Support content that matters to you.

I am asking for $1 per month.

That’s it…

Why Support Permaculture Voices?

The short answer…

The show is freely available to everyone, but the show takes a lot of time and money to produce.

In order to keep the show free for everyone, the production costs need to be covered.

They can be covered via sponsorship or by listeners just like you…

If I get sponsors then I end up force feeding you commercials about products and services that you may or may not like.  Not ideal.

The preferred situation is to have a listener supported show.

As the creator, I would rather have you, the listener, contribute to the creation and production of something that you like, value and care about (this show).

I think that is the most mutually beneficial option.  I benefit from your support and use your support to produce more content for you that you benefit from.  And you directly contribute to the creation of more content which you value and derive value from.

At $1 per month, financial burden on you is minimal.

And as someone told me, “There’s more than a nickel worth of advice in each show.

If you agree, then please support the show via Patreon, or scroll down for other ways to support the show…

The long answer…

I am now three years into podcasting and, I am overwhelmed each day by the positive feedback that get from listeners just like you…

“I’ve been listening to your podcasts over this spring and just wanted to drop you a line. You are doing SUCH GREAT WORK! All these voices, including your own, encouraging folks to get out there, do something, be the change- DO IT!” K. French

“I just wanted to reach out and tell you how grateful I am for the work you are doing.  The podcast, your perspectives and the stories you share have been very impactful for me over the past months.”  T. Banwell

“Your episodes all have something that inspires me to create a lasting legacy that my great grandfather started in the 1800’s.” N. Stone

“Your encouragement, the podcast, and conference has helped give me the confidence to make this major change in my life, which is not necessarily easy at 64. Wish I had known about this stuff 20 years ago.” C. Mills

Real people out there making real change in the world and their lives.

And you all are a big part of why I do what I do.

I love here hearing these stories.

The stories that I hear from people on the ground are truly remarkable.

I was so inspired by the stories from you all that I made an episode full of just those stories…

The show has clearly helped a lot of people change their lives.

If the show has helped you, you now have a chance to help me.

For as little as $1 per month you can help change my life.

 How you can help…

I love doing these shows, but each show takes a massive amount of work to produce.

Each one hour episode that you listen to takes about six hours to produce.

I produce these shows in my spare time, around working a full time job and raising a family.

My goal is to produce these shows full time.

Creating content that benefits people just like you.

By crowd sourcing support for the show that is mathematically possible.

If everyone who listens to the show supports the show at just $1.00 per month, that will make the show financially sustainable for me, so I can keep doing the show long term.

I think that is an even value exchange.  You get 20 episodes of actionable, life and business changing content a month for $1.00.

If you value the show and if you derive a benefit form the show, please support the show below or via Patreon.

What’s the long term goal?

The long term goal is to create more content targeting specific areas of regenerative agriculture and permaculture – think The Urban Farmer and Grass Fed Life.

But my biggest constraint to producing more, and constantly improving content, is time.

If I could free up more time, then I could produce more content and spend more time producing that content.

This is where you come in as a listener.

We can’t create time, but with your contribution I hire someone to edit the shows which thereby frees me up do other things for the show – research, contact guests, conduct interviews, and create more.

Outside editing would also help to improve the quality of the show.

As a listener, and supporter, you would directly benefit from more, higher quality content.

My goal make each show better than the last and to always keep these shows free – forever.

Your contributions will help to make this possible.

And your contributions will go right back into Permaculture Voices so I can grow it and make it better and better over time.

The more resources that I have, the more that I can produce.  My biggest constraints right now to growth are capital and time, additional funding solves both of those problems.
